Black Owned Business in OC: Marciie's Touch
A few weeks ago, I met up with Shanae to take these insane photos as part of my mission to support and shout from the rooftops about local black owned businesses. You can read about that here.
This is Shanae! She is a business owner of a handcrafted soy candle company right here in South OC. Shanae is also a fierce single Mama! During our session, that was one thing we really bonded over. I had a vision to use sunflowers for the session. I brought the flowers, and she worked it out! I mean LOOK at these photos.
Shanae is STUNNING, inside and out. I know all too well how hard it is to navigate life and business as a single mom, and she is doing it with grace, poise and badassery. She just re-did her logo and candles too!
I asked her how she came up with the name of her candle company, and she said, "It comes from my middle name, Marcheyell. 'Touch' because I wanted to add some flavor in to my customer's lives." She set out to create eco friendly soy candles that carry a strong scent. Buying from Shanae means you are supporting not only a black owned business but also a woman and mother who is so deserving of success!
